1. Purpose

The purpose of this method statement is to ensure proper execution and supervision of Wallpaper Work in accordance with the required quality standards at the site. It defines the methodology to achieve a smooth, defect-free wallpaper finish.

This procedure shall apply to all Engineers, Supervisors, Workmen, Quality Control personnel, and other concerned staff involved in the execution of “Wallpaper Installation.”

2. Scope of work.

The scope of work consists of:

  • Surface preparation

  • Gypsum board fixing
  • Joint finishing
  • Wallpaper installation
  • Inspection and documentation

6. Material delivery and storage

Materials must be transported safely to avoid damage; damaged items shall be rejected.

Store wallpaper, aluminum frames, and gypsum boards on raised platforms.

Allocate a designated storage area close to the work location.

Project Engineer, Site Engineers, Supervisors, Foremen, and helpers.

8. Safety Precautions

Only trained personnel shall execute wallpaper installation.

Proper material handling is required to avoid damage.

Mandatory PPE: safety jacket, helmet, and shoes.

Use a safety harness while working at height.

9. Responsibility

The Project Manager/Construction Manager shall be responsible for the overall implementation of this procedure.

10. Site Preparation & Inspection:

Ensure the area is formally handed over and ready for wallpaper work.

All MEP and HVAC works must be completed beforehand.

Stack materials properly near the working area.

Ensure all tools and equipment are available.

Remove waste (binding wire, concrete lumps, shuttering debris, etc.).

The wall shall be comp/eye/y smooth, to avoid any bumps and crevices that may be visible through the paper.

Provide training to the workforce on the approved method statement.

Treat the first work in any suitable area as a Mock-up; obtain approval through a formal Inspection Request
